Obviously, location and price are the ones that usually come to mind first, but there are a host of others that should also influence your decision in some capacity. So, if you are in need of an apartment, here are some helpful tips that you may want to consider. Check out this video:

It is important to note what factors are most important to you. Perhaps it would even be wise to write these down in a chronological order based on their weight of importance therefore allowing you to make an informed decision that you will come to appreciate later. After all, if you don’t consider these in order of importance, the chances of regret certainly are increased.

As a simplified example, if the following is most suitable for you:

1. location
2. price
3. amenities
4. shopping

Then, it may not serve you well to consider:

1. location
2. amenities
3. price
4. shopping

Although this is a very fundamental example, the point is that it is very relevant to your decision and what will ultimately be in your best interest. So, consider what are the most important factors for you and label them in order perhaps one through ten, which will enable you to make the best decision for your needs.

I’d like to proclaim that I was the winner of our league in 2010-2011! By no means am I projecting to do it again, but what a ride it was last year. All of the cards REALLY had to fall the right way last year for me to even make the playoffs and then I wound up winning….unbelieveable! The truth is, I was due, if not overdue!

Ok, that was the past, so here we are this year!

What are your plans for the draft. I for one am a believer in RBs quantity since they are such a scarce commodity. Quality picks become an unknown when you are later in the draft, but the chances of picking up a ‘sleeper’ is certainly improved when you pick up more of them. Of course, this is the case for any position, but running backs are the most difficult to come by during the season so much so that it certainly makes sense to stockpile them during the draft. Most likely, you will not be able to come across a worthwhile running back later on without giving up quite a bit in return.

I picked up Chris Ivory with my very last pick last year and, although he did have his ups and downs, for what was thought to be a 3rd string back certainly played a BIG role in salvaging my season last year.

There are different types of drafts, but our 12-team league uses the Serpentine 3RR and I have the 2nd overall pick. Therefore, I will get the 2nd pick, the 23rd and so on, so that RB I pick better be productive and injury free. Last year, at # 12 and 13,  I picked up the # 1 QB in Drew Brees and the # 1 WR in Andre Johnson since the quality RBs were all taken. However, this year, the strategy will be to pick up a #1 RB and hope to get a high quality 2nd pick of some position on pick # 23; a different strategy will certainly have to be used.

Hopefully, this season will prove to be another fun-filled ride far into the playoffs. Regardless, Fantasy Football is here again, so let the smack talking begin!!

Riverwalk

Personally, I’ve been on this a few times and each time is pleasureable. The last time I went the ride was $8.25 and the ride is more or less a ‘people’ barge with a guide that tells you all about the Riverwalk area, buildings, historical information, etc.

The Riverwalk originated in 1929 through the vision of Robert Hugman as a means to alleviate the flooding problems at that time that the city faced. The outcome has evolved into a bustling tourist attraction with two of the most visited sites (ie. The Alamo and the Riverwalk) in all of Texas.

I’d also recommend dining at Rita’s on the River which is one of the, if not the, oldest restaurants on the Riverwalk. The night life on the Riverwalk is mixed and can be fitting for those who are looking for a long night out on the town or for those who are simply ready for a nice dining experience on the river while sipping on a glass of wine.

Of course, the Alamo is also in close proximity to the Riverwalk and is quite literally within walking distance. You can become more familiar with the Alamo and its part in Texas history and its important part it played in Texas gaining its independence from Mexico. Tour the grounds and step inside and take a tour to learn even more.

Some other places of interest are the Mirror Maze, the Wax Museum, the Magic Theatre and Natural Bridge Caverns/Wildlife Park. Of course, all of the Riverwalk area is surrounded by shopping venues and the River Center mall is full of unique places to shop, dine or book a hotel room on the river.

San Antonio Zoo

The San Antonio Zoo is a wonderful place to take the entire family and the good news is that the zoo has undergone a recent renovation and is just that much more inviting for its visitors. It is centrally located on the north side of downtown and is well worth a visit.

Sea World

Sea World is as fascinating for adults as it is for kids. It has a rather extensive water park which is fun for the entire family and the sea life, as well as the shows are truly remarkable. If you have time to visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Fiesta Texas

Fiesta Texas is an amusement park that will provide your family a full day of fun. From roller coasters, to water park rides, to musicals, etc., this theme park has it all.

This is only a small snippet of options available to you in San Antonio, but for those looking for things to do in San Antonio, there are many more choices.

Don’t miss out on your opportunity to see the Amazon Voyage! The entire tour began in February 2011, but is scheduled to only be shown through September 5, 2011. It makes a fun half day experience with the family so don’t miss out on the opportunity!

The show’s opening act, by Mario Joyner, was also quite entertaining. His act was just as entertaining as Jerry’s.

Jerry talks about kids and family now and expresses his disconnect nowadays with the single life. The comical irony about this is how this used to be exactly the opposite for him and many can relate. Jerry’s hand and voice manipulations certainly add to his performance and at one point he was fully laid out on his back on the stage. He truly engages the audience with everyday life ‘things’ such as cell phones and energy drinks, puts a twist on them, and makes you bust out laughing!

It was a pleasure to witness two comedians who could capture the audience’s attention and still keep it PG-rated! It is fair to say that this show is for the entire family.

So, has Jerry lost it? Not at all? The only complaint would be that he was only on for about an hour, perhaps just over an hour. For as good as it was, the audience certainly would have liked another 30 minutes, but that will have to be upon his return which surely will be much anticipated.

At the end of the performance, Jerry leaves the stage and comes back out for an encore. During the encore, he answers some audience questions. One of the questions was if he would be doing the show again to which he responded….”I’m 57 years old now, so I’m old, I’m tired, and I’m rich” and he left it at that, so draw your own conclusion. Finally, he was also asked to please do one more HELLO NEWMAN! to which he obliged “H-e-l-l-0! Newman” and the audience roared. Here is a sampling of one of the show’s “Hello Newman!” scenes:
